Encouraging a healthy lifestyle through responsible oral healthcare.
Daroma received her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Midwestern State University in 1983 and has been a hygienist at Crabtree Dental for over 25 years. Her longevity with our practice has allowed her to develop and enjoy ongoing relationships with the many patients she sees on a regular basis. She also works very well with children, alleviating any apprehension they may have. Her commitment to providing quality oral health care shows in her gentle yet thorough cleanings.
Daroma is married with two daughters. Taking care of her family occupies much of her time, along with school and church activities, but when she finds time for herself she enjoys camping, fishing, and working in her flowerbeds.
Connie first entered the dental field as part of a health occupations program at her high school. She has over 40 years of dental experience and has spent more than 25 of those years here at Crabtree Dental. Connie is a registered dental assistant certified in radiological procedures and she maintains her American Red Cross CPR certification. She works directly with our doctors assisting patients with their treatment needs, and her gentle, positive manner puts many patients at ease.
Connie is a native Texan and graduated from Lamar High School in Rosenberg. She has three children and two grandchildren.
Lara has been practicing dental hygiene at Crabtree Dental for most of her career. She graduated in 1999 from the University of Texas School of Dentistry. Lara enjoys dental hygiene because she meets a variety of people daily and she loves helping others have healthier, happier smiles.
Lara is a small town girl at heart and is happy that she and her family live and work in the Katy community because it feels like home. Lara is happily married to her husband, Joseph, who is an assistant principal at the Opportunity Awareness Center. They are parents to two beautiful children.
Amber joined us after serving in the U.S. Air Force where she completed her education and served as a dental assistant. She has done charity work in Thailand and Japan, and has also done dental and forensic studies in Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran.
Amber enjoys traveling and meeting new people. She is a registered dental assistant certified in radiological procedures and she maintains her American Red Cross CPR certification.
She is originally from Katy, but she’s lived in five states and six countries. We are glad she has returned to her Katy roots and are proud to have a veteran on our dental team.
Sue earned her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and has been a dental hygienist for over 30 years. (She actually graduated with her degree the same year that Dr. Ron Crabtree and Daroma did.) Sue was our go-to temp for years and we are thrilled that she has joined the team permanently.
Sue moved to Katy in 2003. When she’s not cleaning teeth she can be found volunteering or keeping track of her husband and two college-age boys. She loves meeting new people and traveling.
Prior to becoming a dental assistant in 2008 Carrie was working in construction. She took a leap of faith into the dental field after seeing an ad for a dental assistant certification program in the newspaper. We’re happy that she is officially on board after being a long-term temporary assistant for us. Carrie always has a cheerful pep in her step and laughter is never far behind her.
When she is not working she is busy pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business. For fun Carrie enjoys Tuesday night movies, listening to music, and experiencing new places (her travel bucket list features Fiji and Bora Bora). She and her husband, Arturo, live in Rosenberg and are parents to one daughter and three dogs.
Katelyn is a Katy native who, coincidentally, grew up near our previous location on Mason Road and is acquainted with some of our long-term patients. She began as a dental assistant but ultimately received her dental hygiene degree from the Coleman College of Health Sciences at Houston Community College. Katelyn enjoys giving back to the community and has volunteered at dental clinics including Healthcare for Homeless – Houston, Sunnyside Health Center, and the San Jose Clinic.
Katelyn is a foodie with a passion for Mexican food and crawfish boils. On the weekends she enjoys grilling, hiking, and visiting Lake Travis with her boyfriend, Cody. She is happy to be living in the Katy area because she is close to family and has access to wonderful food.
