When your tooth develops larger areas of decay, a regular filling may not restore the tooth, so Dr. Crabtree will usually recommend a crown. Designed to cover and strengthen a tooth, a crown restores health and function. Dr. Crabtree will select the crown material based on the location of the damaged tooth; he may choose an all-ceramic, porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM), or gold crown.

You will receive your custom crown in only two visits. The doctor will take an impression of the tooth and fit you with a temporary during the first appointment. Once we receive your crown from our dental lab, you will return to the office so that Dr. Crabtree can make adjustments, if needed, and permanently attach the crown.
